What is AI Roleplay?
AI Roleplay Built on Hyperbound is an AI-powered, voice-based practice experience in Accelerate Prism. It gives you an opportunity to practice conversations with a simulated customer or seller and receive immediate feedback based on Richardson or Challenger methodology.
As a manager, AI Roleplay gives you two ways to use the capability:
- You can complete your own coaching-focused AI Roleplays — practicing a coaching conversation with a simulated seller.
- You can use your team's AI Roleplay results as an additional signal to guide the coaching conversations you already have with your sellers.
AI Roleplay is designed to help you and your team apply the skills you have learned in a realistic, low-risk environment. You can retry a roleplay as many times as you like and use the feedback you receive to improve your approach before your next conversation.
AI Roleplay is practice, not a test. Your score is intended to guide development — it does not block or prevent you, or the sellers you manage, from continuing through learning.
How Do I Access My AI Roleplay Coaching Practice?
You may access AI Roleplay Embedded in Prism in several ways, depending on how it has been assigned to you.
From a Learning Objective
- Sign in to Prism.
- Open your assigned learning objective.
- Open or resume the AI Roleplay course.
- Follow the prompts to begin the roleplay.
From a Pathway
- Sign in to Prism and open your assigned Pathway.
- Complete the related learning.
- Open the AI Roleplay objective.
- Open or resume the roleplay.
From the AI Roleplay Library
You can browse and revisit practice from the dedicated AI Roleplay Library:
- Sign in to Prism.
- Select AI Roleplay from the side menu.
- Browse the available roleplays.
- Select Start or Resume.
You can use the status options to find roleplays that are Not Started, In Progress, or Completed. You can retake a roleplay you have already finished — select it from the Completed tab to practice a different approach or apply feedback from an earlier attempt.
From a Behavior page
AI Roleplays are associated with specific behaviors.
- Open the relevant Behavior page.
- Locate the available AI Roleplay.
- Select the roleplay to open it.
- Complete or resume the roleplay.
A roleplay you have already completed remains available on the Behavior page, so you can select it again to retake it and try a different approach.
Before you start
For the best experience:
- Complete the related learning before starting the roleplay.
- Use a supported browser and a device with a working microphone.
- Choose a quiet location and use a headset when possible.
- Allow your browser to access your microphone when prompted.
- Review the scenario before starting.
- Treat the conversation like a real customer conversation rather than reading from a script.
- Do not refresh or close the page while the conversation is in progress.
Complete the Roleplay
During the roleplay, you will have a voice conversation with a simulated seller as part of a coaching scenario.
Respond naturally and apply the coaching behaviors from your related learning. The simulated seller responds based on how you approach the conversation, so listen carefully and adapt as you would in a real coaching interaction.
When you finish the conversation, review your feedback and score.
NOTE: The two manager coaching roleplays are broadly applicable rather than tailored to a specific client, and are available in Richardson and Challenger versions where applicable. This differs from seller-facing bots, which are configured to reflect your organization’s selling environment.
Want to try again?
You can retry a roleplay to practice a different approach or apply the feedback you received.
Your retry does not automatically change the score shown in Prism.
When you are ready to submit an attempt to Prism, select Complete Roleplay on the Prism page.
Important: You must select Complete Roleplay for the score to be submitted to Prism.
The button may be temporarily unavailable while your score is processing. Once processing is complete, you can select it to submit your result.
Understanding your score
AI Roleplay is intended to help you practice and improve. Your score is not a pass-or-fail assessment.
Prism displays your latest submitted score and completion status.
If you complete and submit another attempt, the new score replaces the score previously displayed in Prism.
Your previous attempts, transcripts, audio, and detailed feedback remain available in Hyperbound.
Where can I find my latest submitted score in Prism?
To revisit the full feedback or review an earlier call:
- Go to Team Profile.
- Select the AI Roleplays tab.
- Select Completed.
- Find the roleplay you want to review.
- Select View AI Roleplay.
The roleplay opens in Prism, where you can access the available Hyperbound call details and feedback.
Reviewing Your Team's Results
In addition to completing your own coaching practice, you can use the latest submitted score and completion information for the sellers in your reporting line to identify possible coaching opportunities. Detailed review should focus on observable behaviors and the seller's own reflection, not the score alone.
- Check whether assigned practice has been completed.
- Use the latest submitted score as one development signal, not a pass-or-fail result.
- Ask the seller what felt effective and what they would change.
- Agree on one or two behaviors to focus on in the seller's next attempt or live customer conversation.
- Review detailed call information only through the Hyperbound access route, and only within your manager permissions.
Where to Find Team Scores and Call History
To review a seller's latest submitted score, full feedback, or an earlier call:
- Go to Team Profile > AI Roleplays > Completed.
- Select a course to open the call history.
- Within the Hyperbound window, select View Calls.
The roleplay opens in Prism, where you can access the available Hyperbound call details and feedback. To see a seller's full call history, select View Calls within the Hyperbound window.
Reporting and Team Insights
For Richardson-configured AI Roleplays, Prism provides the latest submitted score and completion information.
Detailed call information, including previous attempts, transcripts, audio, and full feedback, remains available in Hyperbound.
AI Roleplay metrics are not currently available in Team Insights.
For client-owned roleplays, scores and detailed results remain in Hyperbound and do not return to Prism reporting or Team Insights.
What Languages Are Available?
AI Roleplay supports:
- English (US)
- German
- French (European)
- Portuguese (Brazilian)
- Spanish (Latin American)
- Chinese (Simplified)
The languages available for a specific roleplay depend on how it has been configured.
If additional languages are enabled, you may be able to select your preferred language when starting the roleplay. The conversation and transcript use your selected language, while Hyperbound feedback and analytics are provided in English.
AI Roleplay scores are also passed back to Prism. When users view these scores in Prism, the Prism interface appears in the language configured for their Prism experience.
Client-Owned Hyperbound Roleplays
Your organization may also provide access to AI Roleplays that are created and managed directly by your organization in Hyperbound.
These roleplays may be assigned through Prism, but they are separate from the standard Richardson-configured AI Roleplay experience.
When a learner accesses a client-owned roleplay:
- They open the assigned objective in Prism.
- They select the link to open the roleplay in Hyperbound.
- They sign in to Hyperbound using their organization-provided account, if prompted.
- They complete the roleplay and review their results in Hyperbound.
Important: Results from client-owned Hyperbound roleplays do not return to Prism. Completion tracking, scores, transcripts, and detailed feedback remain in Hyperbound.
As a manager, review these results directly in Hyperbound when available to you and use them as part of your coaching conversations.
Best Practice for Adoption
Successful adoption depends on setting the right expectations and connecting practice to your existing learning and coaching rhythms.
Connect practice to learning. Position AI Roleplay to your sellers as a way to apply recently learned skills, not as an unrelated tool.
Use focused practice. Assign the roleplay that matches the specific behavior or selling challenge a seller needs to work on, rather than assigning every available activity.
Normalize retries. Explain to your sellers that the score is formative and that applying feedback in another attempt is expected.
Build coaching into the rhythm. Use completion and the latest submitted score to identify where a coaching conversation may help.
Set reporting expectations by route. Embedded roleplays return supported metrics to Prism for you to review. Client-owned linked roleplays do not.
