What is a Capability Review?
The Capability Review is a feature within ASPS Insights that helps you understand where you’re strong and where there’s room to grow. It brings together self-assessments, manager feedback, and performance data to give a well-rounded view of your sales capabilities.
You'll only be assessed on the capabilities that apply to your specific role, so everything you see is relevant to your day-to-day work.
What’s Included?
Each Capability Review includes three parts:
- Self-Assessment – You’ll rate yourself against specific behaviors tied to key selling skills.
- Manager Assessment (if applicable) – When included, your manager completes a similar assessment of your skills to provide an additional perspective.
- Performance Data – Where available, real-time metrics like win rates or sales cycle times are added to give an objective view.
Even if your organization doesn’t use system integrations or manager feedback, the review still works as a valuable tool for understanding and tracking your growth.
How It Helps You
Capability Reviews are usually completed during onboarding and then revisited later, so you can track your progress over time. This step is important for understanding your current performance and creating meaningful recommendations for ongoing learning and development.
The results help guide your learning and ensure you're focused on the capabilities that will make the biggest impact. These scores also power Insights, which uses your results to suggest learning activities tailored to your needs, so you’re always working on the right things at the right time.
